Global PVC demand growth has largely ground to a halt
At the beginning of the year, the market widely projected that global PVC demand would grow by around 1.3 million tons in 2026. However, due to pronounced demand weakness in Europe, the Middle East, South Asia, and Northeast Asia during the first half of the year, current projections have been revised to a possible net contraction of roughly 200,000 tons for the full year.
