The global demand for PVC will continue to grow in 2025, with Asia leading the consumption
According to the latest industry research report, the global demand for PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is expected to reach 82 million tons in 2025, with a compound annual growth rate of approximately 3.5%. The Asian region (especially China, India and Southeast Asia) remains the main growth engine, benefiting from the rapid development of the construction, infrastructure and packaging industries.
As the world's largest consumer of PVC, China is expected to account for over 40% of global demand by 2025. Despite the persistent problem of domestic overcapacity, the export demands from countries along the Belt and Road Initiative offer new opportunities for the industry. Due to the accelerated urbanization in India, the annual growth rate of PVC demand is expected to exceed 6%.
Analysts point out that environmental protection policies and the promotion of recycled PVC may pose challenges to the traditional PVC market, but in the short term, rigid demand will still support industry growth.
